Sound & Story is home to Matthew Rodriguez, an audio engineer and musician who has been mixing, mastering, and editing his own work and the audio works of others for over 15 years.

What began as a love of playing music turned into a love of the studio - a love of all things audio and the recording process. I’ve been a guitarist for 20 years and have been recording music for almost just as long. Eventually this love led me to college, where I earned a BS in Sound Recording Technology from the DePaul University School of Music in Chicago, IL. Afterwards, I spent a number of years utilizing my skills in the live events industry, running large-scale audio systems for concerts, corporate conferences, graduations, political rallies, and more.

When I’m not engaged in an audio project, I can be found playing video games, embarking on a Dungeons and Dragons campaign with friends, or spending time with my lovely wife and our two dogs, Pippa and Morty.

  • This will always depend on the project. I like to work with individual clients to determine their needs and the scope of their project, and then we can proceed from there.
